“Nana’s” Banana Bread

3 large ripe bananas, mashed
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
¼ cup melted butter
1-1/2 cups white whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
¼ cup ground flax seed
½ cup chopped walnuts
Cooking spray

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9-inch loaf pan with cooking spray and set aside.

Mash bananas in a large bowl. Add in sugar, eggs and melted butter until well combined.

In a small bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda and ground flax seed. Pour dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir to combine thoroughly.

Pour batter into greased loaf pan. Bake on the center rack for 50 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center.
